India is a land where there many different languages and cultures. It is also the richest country in terms of cultural diversity. A wedding is just an auspicious occasion when two persons are united for a lifelong bond. But when it comes to India, two entire families of the bride and groom are united.
It is a common saying in India that “couples are made in heaven.” India is culturally very diverse and there is a great versatility in the types of weddings.

Moving on to the country’s Pop culture, India has the largest movie industry in the world which also influences everyday lives of the people.
This industry is called Bollywood . It makes almost 1,000 movies a year, about twice as many as Hollywood. Bollywood also has a great impact on Indian weddings. This is the main reason why Indian Weddings are now transformed into mega-budget projects. It is not just a one day ceremony but an entire weeklong celebration. Nowadays, Indian Weddings are not just social auspicious occasions but grand celebrations so people have started implementing the ideas of Destination and Theme-based weddings.
